To consider current challenges and forthcoming opportunities for the creation of new jobs in Western Kazakhstan
We have embarked on a programme to encourage new investment for the supply of goods and services into the oil and gas supply chain from Kazakhstan. There is also the need to encourage non-energy investment, in addition to a focus on job creation; all of which will contribute to the development of Western Kazakhstan.
JSC NC "KazMunayGas", in conjunction with the akimats of the Atyrau, Mangistau and West Kazakhstan Provinces, and with the participation of KPO, TCO, NCOC and Lord Waverley, is to hold a Forum aimed at developing the potential. The Forum is to be held 24-26 September 2012 in Aktau. The management of the akimats of the western provinces, Central Government Ministries and their Departments responsible, the major international oil and gas Companies including the Operators, foreign and domestic supplying companies and investors are expected to participate and will have the opportunity to contribute.
This event will provide an excellent platform for discussing new investment opportunities, matters relating to the creation of new production facilities, business expansion, networking with large and medium-sized market players and with Kazakhstan’s Government departments. In addition, we can build on the June ‘London Process’, which began in the House of Lords, London and is a key element, together with the considerations of related issues of the Contract and Procurement working group of the three principal developments. Importantly, an unified list of future procurement priorities will be announced.
